[FASTCGI] HTTP status code and HEAD request

I am using FastCGI C library on Solaris 10 / Apache 2.0. I have two
questions:

1.       How do I get what HTTP request (GET, POST and specifically
HEAD) is being processed?

2.       How do I return specific HTTP status code rather then 400?
