[FASTCGI] FastCGI still a smart choice in 2010?

What do you think the other folks are recommending? As far as I've seen, 
if you want to have your software written in any of the above languages, 
fast and portable between different platforms and webservers, then 
FastCGI is still very much the way to go. (sorry for the long sentence)
