Java applet request to fcgi application

Subject: Java applet request to fcgi application

Hello,

I am trying the following:
I have a Java applet running in Netscape that makes
a URLConnection to a fcgi application. When this is done
i get a IOException java.io.IOException: Stream closed.

When i request the same data from netscape, i get the data
without any problem.

Has anybody managed to connect a Java applet to fcgi application?
Any idea of may be wrong? (I managed to get the data when using a 
cgi application)
