Every so often, one or more of the fcgi apps will become unreachable through its named pipe. The following errors will then occur in the error_log every time the script is accessed (and the user gets a 500 server error). [Thu Dec 5 10:24:55 1996] access to /home/www/prod/merc/wv/cgi/wv_merc.cgi f ailed for 18.104.22.168, reason: mod_fastcgi: OS error 'Connection refused' conn ecting to app The problem is completely sporadic. If I restart the server, the problem might come back after a minute, or it might not happen again for 8 hours. Does anyone have a clue what's going on here?
