Subject: status of OS Errors...
Message-Id: <Pine.BSI.3.95.970206103554.18861E-100000@get.wired.com>

so what is the current status of the OS Errors
that fastcgi produces on heavily trafficed apps?

the OS Errors again are 'Interruped system call' and 'Connection refused'.

these errors are produced at random times due to heavy traffic,
and once they start appearing,
the only what to stop them is to restart httpd.
(not even killing the app itself helps)

is there a fix yet?
if not, what is the best approach to stopping the problem?

i'm using sparc boxes, with solaris 2.5 and apache 1.1.1.
i use both c and perl apps. (perl5.002)

i'm espeically interested,
becuase the engineers from HotWired are asking me
many questions about fastcgi (i work in their office)
cause they are interested in using it.
(however, they are concerned about the OS Error problem)

any advice, tips, help, and future release notes
would be appreciated.

thanks,
