Hello,

I was able to run the echo application as indicated in the instructions.
Now when I try to use a fastcgi application, I am getting a series of
identical messages in the /conf/error_logs:

[Sat Jun 14 12:01:21 1997] mod_fastcgi: AppClass
/apps1/webman/apache_1.2b11/cgi-bin/ECP/FastCGI/quiz.fcg pid 14679 terminated
by calling exit with status= 1.
[Sat Jun 14 12:01:26 1997] mod_fastcgi: AppClass
/apps1/webman/apache_1.2b11/cgi-bin/ECP/FastCGI/quiz.fcg restarted with pid 14682.

It seems that the application is being killed about 10 times every minute.
I will briefly explain my setup. I have added the following lines in the
httpd.conf:

--------------------
AppClass /apps1/webman/apache_1.2b11/cgi-bin/ECP/FastCGI/quiz.fcg

<Location /apps1/webman/apache_1.2b11/cgi-bin/ECP/FastCGI/quiz.fcg>
SetHandler fastcgi-script
</Location>

AddHandler fastcgi-script .fcg
-------------------

I have also noticed that when I try to execute (via the browser) a
normal cgi application, it is looking for the cgi programs in the
directory specified in the Document root (I have the line:
DocumentRoot /apps1/webman/fcgi-devel-kit in the httpd.conf),
even though I have the following two lines in the srm.conf

ScriptAlias /cgi-bin/ /apps1/webman/apache_1.2b11/cgi-bin/
AddHandler cgi-script .cgi

I am not sure how to indicate the server to make the distinction of cgi
and FastCGI. Is this done using a combination of ScriptAlias and
SetHandler for each type?

I am using the latest mod_fastcgi.

Thanks a lot for all your replies!
